Change Primary Face
This function allows you to change the primary face on a part. You can use it when you realise that the primary face is not correct after having set the part properties and edited the bend allowances on some bends. Changing the primary face maintains individual properties for each bend.
Access
- In the Sheet metal tab of the ribbon, click the arrow under the
icon in the Unfold section, and select Change primary face. - Type change in the Quick Search field, and select Change primary face from the result list.
In both cases, this opens the Change primary face - Options tab in the ribbon with the Options and Filters sections. This also opens the Change primary face dialog box.

Procedure
- Select the primary face or activate the Automatic selection option.

Validate, either by a Right Mouse click or by clicking the
icon in the dialog box.

Top Toolbar
These two icons at the top of the dialog box allow you to Apply the current values or to Cancel the current function.
Preview generation is Automatic if this option is active in the dialog box menu accessed by clicking on the 
icon.
Primary face

Activate this option to automatically identify the primary face in the drawing. |

Select new primary face |
This field lists the identifier of the selected primary face. Clicking on the |
icon (or Right Mouse click) to Validate your selection. The 
icon (or [Esc]) cancels the selection mode. Information Field
The field at the bottom of the dialog box displays information about missing data, errors or actions.
